A young handicapped boy wrote the following poem in frustration and threw it in the premise of a  Temple:

Impaired and Injured (Original Poem)

I stand there......
Alone in the crowd…
What’s become of me?
I once, was so proud!
Dark angels descend,
They reach out to me.
Claiming my soul,
As if it was their private property!

And the bruises of Present,
They just won’t let me stand up!
But the false premonitions of future,
Just won’t let me give up!
What am I to do?
Seems like I’m caught up!
But I will somehow,
Manage to fix myself up!

I think I probably need,
A miracle in my fist!
Some divine intervention,
That might just clear this mist!
But wait a minute, I just realized,
THAT GOD DOESN’T EXIST!
And even if he did, I probably
Wasn’t on his list!

Just when I thought,
That this world was mine!
It somehow managed,
To crack my spine!
And even before I knew,
I hit the ground!
Only to be kicked by fate,
In a yet another round!

I still have the key,
To my deliverance.
That will get me out,
Of this quicksand of ignorance!
But the key gets stuck,
Every time I try.
I kick and struggle and in the end,
My mouth lets out a frustrated cry!

And the bruises of Present,
They just won’t let me stand up!
But the false premonitions of future,
Just won’t let me give up!
What am I to do?
Seems like I’m caught up!
But I will somehow,
Manage to fix myself up!

It turned out that a God really did exist. The next morning the boy found a little piece of paper lying on his bed beside him.
It’s always the last door you try.
That will pull you from the sand.
Stop trying to do it yourself.
And let Me give you a hand.
